Our commitment

Edi Cupia is committed to making its website usable by as many people as possible, whatever their abilities, devices or circumstances. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and we treat accessibility as part of design quality — never as an afterthought.

What we’ve built in

These measures are part of how this website is designed and built:

  • Clear structure. Every page uses landmarks (header, navigation, main content, footer), a single main heading and a logical heading order.
  • Skip link. A “Skip to main content” link is the first thing keyboard users reach on every page.
  • Keyboard access. Links, buttons, menus and forms can all be used with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus indicator. The mobile menu is a native dialog that keeps focus inside and closes with Escape.
  • Colour and contrast. Text and background pairs are chosen to meet WCAG AA contrast, and we avoid relying on colour alone to convey meaning.
  • Reduced motion. If you ask your device to reduce motion, animations, parallax effects and page transitions are switched off.
  • Accessible forms. Every field has a visible label. Errors are described in text and linked to their field, and status messages are announced to screen readers. Our multi-step sample form moves focus to the heading of each step and lets you review everything before sending.
  • No time pressure. Forms have no visible time limit. If a form stays open for a long time, it renews its security check and asks you to press send again — your entries are kept.
  • Text alternatives. Meaningful images have descriptions; decorative images and illustrations are hidden from assistive technologies.
  • Language. Each page declares its language so screen readers pronounce English and French correctly, and the language switcher is clearly labelled.
  • Zoom and reflow. Pages are designed to adapt to screens as narrow as 320 pixels without horizontal scrolling, and pinch-zoom is never disabled.
  • Comfortable targets. Buttons and form controls are sized for touch screens.
  • No autoplay. The website never plays sound or video automatically.

Compatibility

The website is designed to work with current versions of major browsers and assistive technologies, including screen readers on desktop and mobile. It is built with standard, semantic HTML, and its content remains readable if JavaScript is unavailable.

Known limitations

We keep improving. A few areas may not yet be fully accessible:

  • Some product details, such as ingredients and nutrition values, are still being finalised. They will be published as accessible text — never as images.
  • Where optional bot protection is enabled on our forms, it is provided by a third party whose accessibility we do not fully control. If it blocks you, please use another way to reach us and we’ll help.

Feedback and alternative formats

If you encounter a barrier, need information in another format or have a suggestion, please tell us through our contact page — choose “General” and mention “Accessibility”. Including the page address and a short description helps us act quickly.

We read every message and will do our best to provide the information you need in a way that works for you.

Standards we follow

This statement is guided by WCAG 2.2, the Accessible Canada Act and, where they apply, provincial accessibility laws such as Ontario’s Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
